People fear that Tik Tok can collect data for the Chinese Government

TikTok has been a topic of controversy since its launch in 2016. While some see it as a harmless

platform for entertainment, others view it as a danger to society. Here are some of the reasons why TikTok is considered bad.

Firstly, the app has been linked to national security concerns. Multiple countries have banned or considered banning TikTok due to fears that it could be used by the Chinese government for espionage. In addition, TikTok's data collection practices have been criticized for being invasive and unethical.

Secondly, TikTok has been linked to decreased attention spans, particularly in young people. Its format of short videos has led to users spending hours mindlessly scrolling through content, leading to concerns about addiction and the negative impact on mental health.

Thirdly, TikTok has been criticized for its censorship practices. The app has been accused of suppressing posts by users who are "too ugly, poor, or disabled," and there is no list of banned words or phrases. It is unclear whether the moderation team is run by humans or AI, leading to concerns about biases and inaccuracies.

Fourthly, TikTok challenges have become increasingly dangerous, with users putting themselves and others at risk in pursuit of viral fame. Examples include the "skull breaker challenge," which involves intentionally tripping people up, and the "devious licks" challenge, which encourages students to steal or vandalize school property.

Finally, TikTok's privacy policies and security vulnerabilities have been criticized. The app collects a large amount of personal information from users and has been the target of cyberattacks in the past. In addition, security researchers have found multiple vulnerabilities in the app, raising concerns about user safety and privacy.

In conclusion, while TikTok may seem like a harmless form of entertainment, it has been linked to multiple issues including national security concerns, decreased attention spans, censorship, dangerous challenges, and privacy and security vulnerabilities. It is important for users to be aware of these issues and to consider the potential risks before using the app.

Life as we know it exist only on who we are and what we do...
