High School Freshman Cassy Herkelman win a match in the Iowa state high school wrestling tournament.

 Break out the record books. Cedar Falls High School Freshman Cassy Herkelman became the first girl ever to win a match in the Iowa state high school wrestling tournament. Too bad it wasn't very exciting to watch: Cassy's opponent never even showed up.

Joel Northrup, a home-schooled sophomore, said he defaulted on his match with Herkelman because he doesn't think boys and girls should compete in the sport together.

"I have a tremendous amount of respect for Cassy and Megan and their accomplishments. However, wrestling is a combat sport and it can get violent at times," said Northrup in a news release. "As a matter of conscience and my faith I do not believe that it is appropriate for a boy to engage a girl in this manner. It is unfortunate that I have been placed in a situation not seen in most other high school sports in Iowa."

Herkelman already made history just by making it into the tournament. She wasn't alone either: Ottumwa High sophomore Megan Black was also competing. It marks the first time in the tournament's 85-year history that women have participated in the state championship.

Black's first opponent was considerate enough to actually face her. Three years earlier, she was scheduled to wrestle Northrup. He defaulted then too.

"If it's his religion and he's strong in his religion, then I just respect that," Black said. "Obviously, everyone can be pointing fingers at him. He, at least, is true to his beliefs and you have to respect that. It takes a lot for a 15- or 16-year-old boy to do."

Cassy is moving on to the quarterfinals on Friday. She was unavailable for comment, but it's safe to say the 112-pound athlete is ready to go. She's already in the history books, now just let her compete!

YES WE CAN. YES WE WILL.

An overwhelming number of Americans elected President Obama and millions still support him, but too many of us do so silently. 

If the progressive agenda we elected the President to achieve is to be successful, we must help the President achieve it.  

We cannot allow the media to report from negative positions without challenge.  Just as others demonstrate their hatred and disrespect of President Obama, we must actively demonstrate our support.

We call on ALL who support President Obama to take action.  On August 4^th, the President's birthday, we ask those who support him to wear any campaign item from the Presidential election as a demonstration of our ongoing support. Bring out your old campaign paraphernalia. 

If you don't have caps, buttons or tee shirts, wear a red, white, and blue tri-color ribbon or clothing on August 4^th.  If nothing else, this simple demonstration of support for our President will provide a counteraction to the negativity that spews forth daily.  We can do this.  YES WE CAN. YES WE WILL.

LORD PROP US UP...

Every time I am asked to pray, I think of the old fellow who always prayed, 'Lord, prop us up on our leanin' side.' After hearing him pray that prayer many times, someone asked him why he prayed that prayer so fervently.

He answered, 'Well sir, you see, it's like this.... I got an old barn out back. It's been there a long time; it's withstood a lot of weather; it's gone through a lot of storms, and it's stood for many years.

It's still standing. But one day I noticed it was leaning to one side a bit.

So I went and got some pine poles and propped it up on its leaning side so it wouldn't fall.

Then I got to thinking about that and how much I was like that old barn.. I've been around a long time..

I've withstood a lot of life's storms. I've withstood a lot of bad weather in life, I've withstood a lot of hard times, and I'm still standing too. But I find myself leaning to one side from time to time, so I like to ask the Lord to prop us up on our leaning side, 'cause I figure a lot of us get to leaning at times.

Sometimes we get to leaning toward anger, leaning toward bitterness leaning toward hatred, leaning toward cussing, leaning toward a lot of things that we shouldn't . So we need to pray, 'Lord, prop us up on our leaning side, so we will stand straight and tall again, to glorify the Lord.''

What has America Become?

Society has managed to manipulate facts to fit what they want when they need it. Nothing is wrong with belief or strong conviction; but when your application hurts someone else, but its in the name of good. Does that make it right?. The problem that I have,  is that people find a way to free their own minds, at the cost of others. Years ago everything was face to face communication, now with the ease of automation,  the essential now falls in how fast your computer can do a background check!

The demented, and twisted souls that treat the world like a chess game, is why we now wonder what has America become...

She Wanted Butt Shots like Nicki Minaj, Now She’s Dead

A 20-year-old British student is dead after flying to Philadelphia with friends to undergo a “must-have” butt injection procedure.
In Hackney, East London, where Claudia Aderotimi was born, butt injections are illegal. They’re illegal in the U.S. too, but authorities here have done nothing to stop the unlicensed, dangerous practice.
Claudia and her friends thought it would be a simple procedure. What could go wrong? The “clinic” was in the shadow of a big city hospital — the same hospital where she was eventually pronounced dead.
 But Claudia knew something went wrong hours after the operation when she felt horrible pains in he

r chest. She was rushed a block away to the hospital, where she died at 1.32 a.m. on Tuesday.
The “clinic” where Claudia and her friends went chasing their dreams was inside a seedy Philadelphia motel room. The unlicensed street technician is still being sought by police who are certain she didn’t use sterile technique. They are also certain she didn’t use medical grade hydrogel or silicone, which are difficult to obtain outside of a hospital setting without a doctor’s order.
Claudia had aspirations of appearing in music videos, like her idols, the video vixens who advertise their talents on Twitter.com. Claudia thought that in order to qualify to appear in rap music videos today, she must have a butt as big as Nicki’s or Esther Baxter’s or Keyshia Dior’s.
All Claudia wanted was a few injections to fill out the curves that she already had, she told friends. She thought the butt shots would make her famous, heartbroken pals say.

Like most young black women today, Claudia’s self-worth and identity are defined by a big butt and breast implants. They don’t know any better because their idols don’t know any better. It’s a vicious cycle.
Now that the eyes of the world are on the U.S., maybe Congress will take some action to put a stop to this hydrogel epidemic that is killing our beautiful black women and turning them into deformed walking mannequins.
