It never hurts to be careful in this crazy world we live in. 

1. Tip from Tae Kwon Do : The elbow is the strongest point

on your body.. If you are close enough to use it, do! 

2.. Learned this from a tourist guide. If a robber asks for your wallet and/or purse, DO NOT HAND IT TO HIM. Toss it away from you....Chances are that he is more interested in your wallet and/or purse than you, and he will go for the wallet/purse. RUN LIKE MAD IN THE OTHER DIRECTION!

3. If you are ever thrown into the trunk of a car, kick out the back tail lights and stick your arm out the hole and start waving like crazy.. The driver won't see you, but everybody else will.

This has saved lives.

4. Women have a tendency to get into their cars after shopping, eating, working, etc., and just sit (doing their chequebook, or making a list, etc. (DON'T DO THIS!) The predator will be watching you, and this is the perfect opportunity for him to get in

on the passenger side, put a gun to your head, and tell you where to go. AS SOON AS YOU GET INTO YOUR CAR , LOCK THE DOORS AND LEAVE..  If someone is in the car with a gun to your head DO NOT DRIVE OFF, Repeat: DO NOT DRIVE OFF! Instead gun the engine and speed into anything, wrecking the car. Your Air Bag will save you. If the person is in the back seat they will get the worst of it .As soon as the car crashes bail out and run. It is better than having them find your body in a remote location.
5. A few notes about getting into your car in a parking lot, or parking garage:
    A.) Be aware: look around you, look into your car, at the passenger side floor , and in the back seat.
    B.) If you are parked next to a big van, enter your car from the passenger door. Most serial killers attack their victims by pulling them into their vans while the women are attempting to get into their cars.
   C.) Look at the car parked on the driver's side of your vehicle, and the passenger side... If a male is sitting alone in the seat nearest your car, you may want to walk back into the mall, or work, and get a guard/policeman to walk you back out. IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY. (And better paranoid than dead.)

6. ALWAYS take the elevator instead of the stairs. Stairwells are horrible places to be alone and the perfect crime spot. This is especially true at NIGHT!)

7. If the predator has a gun and you are not under his control,

ALWAYS RUN! The predator will only hit you (a running target) 4 in 100 times; and even then, it most likely WILL NOT be a vital organ. RUN, Preferably in a zig -zag pattern!

8. As women, we are always trying to be sympathetic: STOP

It may get you raped, or killed. Ted Bundy, the serial killer, was a good-looking, well educated man, who ALWAYS played on the sympathies of unsuspecting women. He walked with a cane, or a limp, and often asked 'for help' into his vehicle or with his vehicle, which is when he abducted  his next victim.

9. Another Safety Point: Someone just told me that her friend heard a crying baby on her porch the night before last, and she called the police because it was late and she thought it was weird.. The police told her 'Whatever you do, DO NOT open the door..' The lady then said that it sounded like the baby had crawled near a window, and she was worried that it would crawl to the street and get run over. The policeman said, 'We already have a unit on the way, whatever you do, DO NOT open the door.' He told her that they think a serial killer has a baby's cry recorded and uses it to coax women out of their homes thinking that someone dropped off a baby. He said they have not verified it, but have had several calls by women saying that they hear baby's cries outside their doors when they're home alone at night.

10. Water scam! If you wake up in the middle of the night to hear all your taps outside running or what you think is a burst pipe, DO NOT GO OUT TO INVESTIGATE! These people turn on all your outside taps full ball so that you will go out to investigate and then attack. Stay alert, keep safe, and look out for your neighbors!

WORST FIRST DATE STORY EVER

If you didn't see this on the Tonight show, I hope you're sitting down when you read it. This is probably the funniest date story ever, first date or not!!! We have all had bad dates but this takes the cake. Jay Leno went into the audience to find the most embarrassing first date that a woman ever had. The winner described her worst first date experience. There was absolutely no question as to why her tale took the prize! She said it was midwinter...Snowing and quite cold... and the guy had taken her skiing in the mountains outside Salt Lake City , Utah . It was a day trip (no overnight). They were strangers, after all, and had never met before. The outing was fun but relatively uneventful until they were headed home late that afternoon. They were driving back down the mountain, when she gradually began to realize that she should not have had that extra latte. They were about an hour away from anywhere with a rest room and in the middle of nowhere! Her companion suggested she try to hold it, which she did for a while. Unfortunately, because of the heavy snow and slow going, there came a point here she told him that he had better stop and let her go beside the road, or it would be the front seat of his car . They stopped and she quickly crawled out beside the car, yanked her pants down and started. In the deep snow she didn't have good footing, so she let her butt rest against the rear fender to steady herself. Her companion stood on the side of the car watching for traffic and indeed was a real gentleman and refrained from peeking. All she could think about was the relief she felt despite the rather embarrassing nature of the situation. Upon finishing however, she soon became aware of another sensation. As she bent to pull up her pants, the young lady discovered her buttocks were firmly glued against the car's fender. Thoughts of tongues frozen to poles immediately came to mind as she attempted to disengage her flesh from the icy metal. It was quickly apparent that she had a brand new problem, due to the extreme cold.   Horrified by her plight and yet aware of the humor of the moment, she answered her date's concerns about' what is taking so long' with a reply that indeed, she was 'freezing her butt off' and in need of some assistance! He came around the car as she tried to cover herself with her sweater and then, as she looked imploringly into his eyes, he burst out laughing. She too, got the giggles and when they finally managed to compose themselves, they assessed her dilemma. Obviously, as hysterical as the situation was, they also were faced with a real problem. Both agreed it would take something hot to free her chilly cheeks from the grip of the icy metal! Thinking about what had gotten her into the predicament in the first place, both quickly realized that there was only one way to get her free. So, as she looked the other way, her first time date proceeded to unzip his pants and pee her butt off the fender.   As the audience screamed in laughter, she took the Tonight Show prize hands down. Or perhaps that should be 'pants down'. And you thought your firstdate was embarrassing. Jay Leno's comment... 'This gives a whole new meaning to being pissed off.' Oh and how did the first date turn out? He became her husband and was sitting next to her on the Leno show.

What if the Tea Party was Black?

I find myself asking this question everyday when I hear the toxic words that come out of the talk show host mouth... Michael Savage, Glen Beck, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levine, Laura Ingram is to name a few. Sad for the world that these folks have nothing good to say, no matter what. They can find the worse in anything that the President says. I in my life never knew how much we as black people have been such racist!
As I look at old photos of black men lynched and black women rapped and killed, it really makes me wonder, how can these critics continue to blast their version of the truth. So I wonder would their thoughts be different if the tea party was black?

Ass, the story with a moral

A Pastor entered his donkey in a race and it won.

The Pastor was so pleased with the donkey that he entered it in the race again, and it won again.
   
    The local paper read:
    * PASTOR'S ASS OUT FRONT.
   
  The Bishop was so upset with this kind of publicity that he
ordered the Pastor not to enter the donkey in another race...
   
    The next day, the local paper headline read:
   
    "BISHOP SCRATCHES PASTOR'S ASS".
   
    This was too much for the Bishop, so he ordered the Pastor to
get rid of the donkey.. The Pastor decided to give it to a Nun in a nearby Convent..
   
  The local paper, hearing of the news, posted the following headline
the next day:
 

    NUN HAS BEST ASS IN TOWN.
   
    The Bishop fainted! He informed the Nun that she would have to get rid of the donkey, so she sold it to a farmer for $10.
   
    The next day the papers read:
   
    "NUN SELLS ASS FOR $10".
   
    This was too much for the Bishop, so he ordered the nun to buy
back the donkey and lead it to the plains where it could run wild.
   
    The next day the headlines read:
   
    "NUN ANNOUNCES HER ASS IS WILD
    AND FREE".
   
  The Bishop was buried the next day.
   
    The moral of the story is .... Being concerned about public opinion can bring you much grief and misery. It can even shorten your life.. 

   
    So be yourself and enjoy life to the fullest. Stop worrying
about everyone else's ASS and you'll be a lot happier and live longer!

Thaddeus Mathews says he is the reason that WDIA is number 12

Thaddeus Mathews says that he is the reason that WDIA has fallen to the 12th best station in Memphis, TN. Mathews has been quick to tell his listeners to check out the Arbitron ratings on radio on line. It is very clear that since WPLX as been on the air, that WDIA ratings has been on a decline.

I was curious if WPLX was the real cause of WDIA falling in the ratings. My research gave me some interesting facts... I found out that Memphis, TN has at least 35 radio stations that has received a rating. Much to my surprise WPLX was not even listed! Maybe I am missing the point, but how can Mathews be so proud to tell his listeners that he is a giant killer when he is scraping the bottom of the pile?

I listen to WPLX and enjoy the informative shows topics. I think that WPLX has potential, but my number 1 complaint is Thaddeus Mathews is " always begging"... He came up with this Membership concept to earn more cash, called "members only". Great ideal, but damn 15 times a day, every day??? Then don't let him have a problem... Now he needs your cash so that he can do this or that, damn... Its like the animal commercial as soon as you here the music you try to change the channel, same concept!

 So this is what I think Thaddeus Mathews, you are shaking WDIA up with your programs, but lets keep it real man their are 11 other stations that can say they are the reason that WDIA is  number 12. You are good at what you do, but until you break the top 35 ... You might need to pull back on your celebration of being on top!

Phenylpropanolamine (PPA) has certain ingredient that is causing strokes and seizures in children:

I would like to thank those of you who expressed condolences on the recent passing of my mother. She suffered a hemorrhagic stroke while she was driving home from my house at 7:30 and passed away at 8:30.

 My mother's stroke and passing was an enormous shock to my family because she did not have any symptoms or risk factors for a stroke. Just the week before she had gone to her doctor for a check up and received a clean bill of health.

 She did, however, develop a cold while she was visiting me and had taken Alka Seltzer Cold Plus for 3 days Since her passing, we have learned that Alka Seltzer is one of the many cold medicines that contains Phenylpropanolamine (PPA) which can cause hemorrhagic stokes or cerebral bleeding even with the first use. I am forwarding a list of other medications that currently use PPA. These medicines are supposedly being recalled but my mother just purchased this medication less than two weeks ago. Pharmaceutical companies have known about this danger for years, we unfortunately, did not.

I urge you to review the list of medicines with PPA and avoid these medications. All drugs containing PHENYLPROPANOLAMINEare dangerous. You may want to try calling the 800 number listed on most drug boxes and inquire about a REFUND. Please read this CAREFULLY. Also, please pass this on to everyone you know. STOP TAKING anything containing this ingredient. It has been linked to increased hemorrhagic stroke (bleeding in brain) among women ages 18-49 in the three days after starting use of medication. Problems were not found in men, but the FDA recommended that everyone (even children) seek alternative medicine.

One Light Bulb at a Time:

A physics teacher in high school, once told the students that while one grasshopper on the railroad tracks wouldn't slow a train very much, a billion of them would. With that thought in mind, read the following, obviously written by a good American ..

 Good idea .. . one light bulb at a time . . . .

 I can verify this because I was in Lowes the other day for some reason and just for the heck of it I was looking at the hose attachments . They were all made in China .

 The next day I was in Ace Hardware and just for the heck of it I checked the hose attachments there. They were made in USA .

Start looking ... In our current economic situation, every little thing we buy or do affects someone else - even their job . So, after reading this email, I think this lady is on the right track .. Let's get behind her!

My grandson likes Hershey's candy . I noticed, though, that it is marked made in Mexico now.. I do not buy it any more.

My favorite toothpaste Colgate is made in Mexico ... now I have switched to Crest.. You have to read the labels on everything ..

This past weekend I was at Kroger. I needed 60 W light bulbs and Bounce dryer sheets . I was in the light bulb aisle, and right next to the GE brand I normally buy was an off-brand labeled, "Everyday Value . " I picked up both types of bulbs and compared the stats -

they were the same except for the price ..  The GE bulbs were more money than the Everyday Value brand but the thing that surprised me the most was the fact that GE was made in MEXICO and the Everyday Value brand was made in - get ready for this - the USA in

a company in Cleveland , Ohio .

So throw out the myth that you cannot find products you use every day that are made right here ..

So on to another aisle - Bounce Dryer Sheets . .. . yep, you guessed it, bounce cost more money and is made in Canada . The Everyday Value brand was less money and MADE IN THE USA ! I did laundry yesterday and the dryer sheets performed just like the Bounce Free I have been using for years and at almost half the price!

My challenge to you is to start reading the labels when you shop for everyday things and see what you can find that is made in the USA - the job you save may be your own or your neighbors!
